male teachers cant fold cranes. =)
my clock reads 6.48pm now.
i din wake up from my nap this time round.
i just came back from sch.
what a thursday to be.
shucks.
just as eugene and i are planning happily for lunch with mr ee right on stage giving boring assembly speech, andy had to appear and inform us of the staff meeting at 2.45pm.
THAT'S NOT THE WAY TO SPOIL A BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY AFTERNOON!
there goes lunch, afternoon nap.
with the greatest reluctance, three of us went for a quick lunch and surprisely, we were late for the meeting.
meeting was held at art room, we went in and all teachers are alr there and mr ee is speaking.
but worry not, more teachers came later than us.
we were told that meeting wld end at 5pm. as ive always knew, evss nv release on time and heh..meeting ended at 5.45pm.
its unfair to put blame on mr ee as most ppl assume that staff meeting is all abt the principal addressing and teachers listen.
we are all wrong.
the principal only do the start off, teachers do the rest. so, its a combined effort that meeting ended so late.
attending staff meeting for the first time, i was actually quite taken aback at how the meeting goes about.
we did briefing, talks, games, exercises, refreshment, talks and more talks.
a new experience to understand more abt this profession.
never thought teaching requires this level of professionalism..
an initially beautiful and sweet thursday afternoon was spent like that!
listening to at least 5-6 teachers speaking on everything which probably i cant be bothered with most of the issues as they're just nonsense to me.. and thru that meeting, my workload is now heavier. the sch wants form teacher to do lotsa unnecessary stuffs which they assume that it helps our students in a way..
well..im taking money so i shld just do the job as told.
and teachers do get restless after long hrs of meeting and that's smth cute to see.
i see teachers actually msging throughout the meeting and engage in their own private conversation.
i was no exception, engaging in my private conversation too.
=)
extremely long day for all the teachers, and so i conclude that thursday is the worst among other days.
and to make the worst day worse, the rain went on for hrs..longer than the meeting lasted.
but the consolation is that, i got a lift back by eugene's dad.
nothing can get worse when things are already at their worst.
oh yah, im losing my voice by the end of this week.
have been talking alot this week.
i talk the same things over and over again...
asking all the sec 1s the same qn, "So, any idea what's Geography?"..
the ans they gave make my day!
adorable kids i teach, im not refering to 201.
cos they're lil monsters that destroy my day!
i dread every monday from 8-9am.
and now, i got my record book to rush..
glad to know that im not alone thru this whole process cos eugene and andy will be rushing theirs too!
=)
tmr's gonna be friday.
i survive another week after tmr.
i realise the importance of weekends.
its the time i talk softly and talk nicely.
those are the things i dun treasure before i was thrown to students who talks louder than me despite me being a teacher, is given the priority to speak at all times. they just dun bother.
putting aside all the complaints, im enjoying the job.
=D
